Can be done as a single tile

Or as multiple pieces

Surface can be rough

Or polished smooth

Edges can be irregular

Step one: start with a single slab

Trace your design onto the soft tile

Start to carve away the lower areas

Add extra details

Fine details at the end

Cloth and other items can be pushed into the clay to add texture

Your Sculpture Due December 28 th Can be Realistic or Abstract Must relate to your theme Can be made up of one piece or multiple small pieces 8x10 inches in surface area – If it is going to be bigger than 8x10 must be done in several parts
