Religion

 The Roman Catholic Religion was the first of this age.  Queen Mary, the sister of Queen Elizabeth believed in the Catholic religion.  Anyone who was of the Protestant religion was Burned alive.  Because she persecuted people for their beliefs, she got the nickname Bloody Mary.

 After Queen Mary, was her sister Queen Elizabeth.  Unlike her sister, Queen Elizabeth was of the Protestant Religion.  Queen Elizabeth made the Protestantism religion official.  She believed people of the Catholic religion should continue to practice their religion without harsh punishment.

 Catholics believe their Bible and sermon should be in the Latin language.  The Catholic church is decorated with statues and shrines.  They believe the church is a place to celebrate God.

 Protestants believe the Bible and sermon should be in the people’s language.  The Protestant Church is very plain to allow complete focus on the sermons.
