Born in Savannah, Georgia She went to boarding school when she was 13. When she was born her uncle thought she looked like a daisy. When she 26 years old she almost went deaf during an operation. Her dad was in the war and her, her mom and her sister had to try to find food. BACKGROUND

She went deaf in one ear. She went deaf in one ear during an ear surgery that was supposed to help her, but it didn’t help her 1886

She was the first Girl Guide Patrol. She did this in the USA. 1911

Daisy became the first president of the Girl Scouts. She formed a national council. 1915

She talked about the Girl Scout organization to raise money for it. She also traveled a lot. 1919

She organized and led the World Camp of Girl Scouts. She led it in New York. 1926

Daisy was a hardworking student because when she was in Girl Scouts, she never fooled around. She was respectful to other students. CHARACTER TRAIT
