3 PROJECTSSITA’S ROLESTATUSTIMEOUTSTANDING Identity and Access Management (IDAM) SITA ISS initiated a Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to confirm scope of bid. Draft document sent to SAPS for review and comment. Presentation and summary discussion were conducted between SITA & SAPS on the 4 th June May Business Impact Analysis assessment completed by SITA ISS. The existing bid is complex and the BIA will assist in clarifying the scope. Background: SAPS signed an Information Security SLA with SITA in and the security assessment forms part of the service delivery. At present SAPS have no IDAM solution. SAPS have compiled a bid specification and expected to go out on tender for a solution in the 1st quarter this year. SAPS requested that SITA advise on the IDAM bid and then further participation in the proposed bid with the expectation for SITA to manage, configure and support the IDAM solution upon procurement and implementation. 4 PROJECTSsSITA’S ROLESTATUSTIMEOUTSTANDING National Photo Identification system (NPIS) SITA’s role is to maintain and enhance the NPIS within maintenance service delivery. Development of the ICAO NPIS interface. SITA completed the redevelopment of the legacy NPIS to cater for current technology to enable the interfacing required with the integrated into Documentum. After delivery of ICAO software it will take one month for developing the integration and testing. Completion of the integration between NPIS and ICAO is currently dependant on provision of ICAO software to SITA. SAPS Procurement of Muvoni’s (ICAO) software program could only be done in the new financial year and is still in process. Background: SITA performs all the Maintenance and Enhancement activities related to the National Photo Image System and Identity System. This support all the digital photos received from the SAPS. The hardware (webcams) have been acquired by the SAPS and are in the process of being deployed. NATIONAL PHOTO IMAGE SYSTEM (NPIS)
5 PROJECTSSITA’S ROLESTATUSTIMEOUTSTANDING Property Control and Exhibit Management (PCEM) SITA delivered a proposal to the SAPS for the maintenance / rewrite of the PCEM 1.X. SAPS submitted the current PCEM solution to the CSIR to do an investigation on the total solution and provide a way forward to SAPS. SAPS deliverable.Currently the SAPS do not have a maintenance contract in place for the solution in production. Background: The PCEM contract was signed between SAPS and an external service provider. This contract expired. At present there are 2 systems available for the management of property items and exhibits known as PCEM Version 1.1 and PCEM 1.x. The PCEM Version 1.1 was developed to manage the Forensic Science Laboratories (FSL) and is presently deployed at 4 Main SAPS Forensic Science Laboratories. The PCEM Version 1.x was developed to manage the SAPS 13 Stores needs for Visible Policing (Vispol) and at present has not been deployed. PROPERTY CONTROL & EXHIBIT MANAGEMENT

7 PROJECTSSITA’S ROLESTATUSTIMEOUTSTANDING Criminal Record and Information Management System (CRIM) Maintenance and enhancement of the system and the development of interfaces. Assist SAPS in the procurement of AFIS. DNA ACT: Development for manual capturing and reports to display buccal numbers completed. Si-Bus development of between CRIM and ICDMS completed. AFIS: On the procurement of AFIS, SITA SCM must be notified by the 5 June 2015 if all specification issues are clarified. The AFIS publication is planned for 12 June 2015 The tender contained inconsistent evaluation criteria and a letter in this regard has been issued to SAPS. The evaluation criteria is fundamental to the evaluation of any bid. Background: SITA has maintained the CRIM system for the past 15 years. It is one of the SAPS legacy systems for supporting the Criminal Record Centre and the system interfaces with the Automated Fingerprint Identification System(AFIS) CRIMINAL RECORD & INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
8 PROJECTSSITA’S ROLESTATUSTIMEOUTSTANDING ICDMS - Administer Case (Phase 1) Development of a criminal case registration process based on Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) approach. *SITA development has been completed. ICDMS has been deployed to 665 Police Stations *Investigate performance issues with the ICDMS solution Development was completed by 31 March 2015 *Investigation will run until the 30 th June % delivery *The performance (slow system) of the ICDMS solution is not meeting the expectations of our SAPS clients. Background: In November 2009 SITA received an order for the development of the ICDMS Administer Case that will deliver an end to end business process, application, ICT and Integrations required to manage and administer criminal cases, inquests and enquiries from the time an incident is reported until the case is archived. The project consists of two phases: The first phase -Administer Case which has been completed; and The second phase - Investigate Case for which SITA delivered a Project Charter to SAPS INVESTIGATE CASE DOCKET MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

This includes the support of the scanning of documents into Documentum. Decentralisation of JuDISS Rustenburg LCRC completed. Vereeniging LCRC completed. Polokwane servers completed. Deployment to Polokwane in progress. Sites to be deployed over the next two months: Eastern Cape – Mount Road LCRC Western Cape – Cape Town Central LCRC Kwa-Zulu Natal – Durban Central LCRC The replacement of the Scanman by the Captiva was tested in the SAPS Technology centre of excellence laboratory (TCOE lab) and the national deployment challenge was resolved. Background: The purpose of the Document Scanning Solution system is to store records in the Electronic Content Document Management System (ECDMS). Awaiting SAPS feedback on way forward to re- publish tender SAPS to advise on re-advertisement of the previously cancelled bid. Background: Tracking devices are installed into the SAPS vehicles to track and trace the vehicle movement. This is done by a 3 rd party supplier through an agreement between SAPS and the supplier. This contract expired and SAPS requested SITA to publish a tender for support of AVL. AUTOMATED VEHICLE LOCATION SERVICE (AVL)
11 PROJECTSSITA’S ROLESTATUSTIMEOUTSTANDING Upgrade of WAN and LAN network infrastructure at all SAPS sites *Management and implementing Program. *The establishment of procurement contracts for Cabling and Equipment. * SAPS decided to do direct tasking via SITA contracts to suppliers, as from January *A total of 1,498 SAPS sites were upgraded, countrywide June 2015*SITA tenders (1221 Equipment and 1189 Cabling) evaluated and await Board final award. Background: The objective of the program focuses on the upgrading of the SAPS absolute Technology Infrastructure. This includes renewal of data and voice cabling, network equipment, consolidation of servers, data carriers and voice over IP NATIONAL NETWORK UPDRADE PROGRAMME

N/A Background: SITA develop the integration endpoints and interfaces as per the specifications compiled and approved by the IJS transversal team. 14 PROJECTSSITA’S ROLESTATUSTIMEOUTSTANDING NFDDSITA team has completed the development on the consolidated DNA database as part of STRlab solution with the associated indices to accommodate all the DNA profiles on a national basis. NFDD Functional Design Specification has been completed and in process of final signatures. NFDD Technical Design Specification 95% completed. Development of the NFDD modules will commence once the TDS is signed off with the consolidated DNA database as an interim solution. SAPS await the final internal instruction on the implementation of CODIS. Background: SITA appointed a team to assist the SAPS in the implementation of the NFDD (CODIS) solution. Managed by SAPSSAPS to manage the delivery of the Service provider. Background: A software solution procured by SAPS directly, which manages workflow of all specimen in the forensic LAB LABWARE

Integration development between FSL Admin and STRLab system were completed. Integration development between CAS / ICDMS and FSL Admin were completed. Deliverables completed on time. N/A ArchitectureSITA is responsible for the DNA Solution Architecture Solution Architecture completed and GAP analysis completed mapped to the ACT and associated regulations.
