My Power Point By Khanique

The Mason-Dixon Line Who mapped this line? Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon What does the line separate? The line seperates these states….. Philadelphia Maryland Delaware West Virginia Missouri How is this line symbolic? It separates the free states from the slave states. Like the North (free) from the South (slave )

Segregation What is it? Segregation is treating people a certain way because of their skin color. In 1968 segregation ended but by 1970 all forms were not allowed. What does it mean to be segregated? To me it means to have everything seperated…. Restaurants Fountains Schools Bathrooms Movies

How were Dondre and Clifton Segregated? Dondre couldn’t play in the golf tournament because he was black and the club didn’t allow blacks there. Clifton couldn’t go to the amusement park because he was black and they didn’t allow blacks there either.

The Lincoln Memorial Where is it? West Potomac Park, Washington, D.C What is it? It is a staute of Abraham Lincoln. Why was it built? To honor Abraham Lincoln? What are the words on it? In this temple as the hearts of the people for whom he saved the union the memory of Abraham Lincoln enshrined forever.

Conclusion They were affected by the line because they couldn’t attend or play in certain things because of their locations Abe passed the law of no slaves or no segregated places.
