Name of school Y EAR G ROUP A NY OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION Course or project title Dates Name : Form : I have taken part in the CAD / 3D Printing School project and worked with teachers and student tutors from the University of Warwick. This has enabled me to :  Learn how to confidently use Computers at Stoke Park School.  Understand what we mean by Computer Aided Design (CAD).  Use with increasing confidence, the CAD software, Autodesk 123D Design.  Use my numeracy skills to ensure designs are accurate and will work when they are 3D printed.  Understand that in real life situations, engineers and designers use CAD to quickly draw and generate designs.  See for myself how a 3D printer works and can be used to create real products quite quickly and accurately from CAD drawings.  Know that 3D printed products can be made from coloured plastic/ polymer filament known as ABS.  Recognise why we have plastic scaffolding to support the printing of challenging shapes.  Work on my own and with other students, including university undergraduates, to solve design problems and find solutions.  Use literacy skills to follow both written and video tutorials to successfully learn how to use the CAD software. My 4 favourite products I have drawn in CAD and 3D printed are: The most difficult things I faced and overcame in the project were: Skills I learned and practised each week were: New things I have learned and now understand are : What have I enjoyed most about the 3D printing / CAD project : Why I think the experience will be useful to me in the future:
