Principle 3: Adult Learners are Social Beings Created by Team 2: Mentoring….Good Times!

Teachers spend a lot of time in a confined space with children and they need opportunities to make personal adult connections and interact with colleagues. Even though our days are hectic, it is crucial to find time to build relationships and make friends with new teachers within our schools or buildings Even though our days are hectic, it is crucial to find time to build relationships and make friends with new teachers within our schools or buildings As mentors we understand how important this is and will take the necessary steps to help our new teachers make connections with a variety of staff members As mentors we understand how important this is and will take the necessary steps to help our new teachers make connections with a variety of staff members

Adult learners value choice, freedom and power, so we as mentors should offer options for their learning.
