House of Tudor Henry VII defeated Richard the III ending the war of Roses which was waged for 100 years. Henry had Arthur and Arthur was Prince of Wales. Father (Henry VII) engaged Arthur to Catherine of Aragon - daughter of Ferdinand and Isabelle of Spain. Spanish Armada

Henry VII decided to marry Henry VIII to Catherine. Leviticus 20:21 And if a man shall take his brother's wife, it is an unclean thing: he hath uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless.

Henry Vii asks the Pope for dispensation for marriage on grounds that Arthur never consummated the marriage. With Henry Viii the first seven children died in childbirth. Eventually they had Mary “Bloody Mary” Catholic Henry 8 decides he wants to marry Catherine’s lady in waiting - Anne Bolen.
