Organizing Photography and Shooting Quality Shoots

Mike Krebs Senior at Huntley High School Photo Editor of The Voice (NP) and The Chieftain (YB) Attending MU in the Fall of 2013

Three Keys to Success Availability Affability Ability

Availability Great photographic moments happen everyday, you just need to capture them. Know when events area at your school and attend all of them. Create an events calendar

The Events Calendar At the beginning of the year send out s to advisors of clubs, department heads, and coaches. Compile a list of dates/events in a spreadsheet. Assign events to photographers each month.

Affability Be personable, don’t blend into the background. Introduce yourself to coaches, players, administrators, students, etc. Send coaches photos and take group photos for people.

Perks of Being Affable Funding and camera equipment for your program. Getting away with bending school rules Girls Basketball State Series...

Ability Learn how to use your camera’s manual settings. Take a large variety of shots an event. Take photos whenever possible. (It’s the only way to get better.)

Additional Tip - Stock Images
