Sherwood ES Student Ambassadors Welcoming students who are new to Sherwood ES

Student Ambassador Selection Students are selected by school staff for the following: – Demonstrating an understanding of the Guiding Principles (Mutual Respect, Self-Control, Right to Teach and to Learn) – Consistently selecting and demonstrating positive choices – Modeling friendly and positive peer interactions

Student Ambassadors for Classes 2 students are selected for each class. – One boy and one girl. Students selected are responsible for welcoming any and all new incoming students throughout the course of the school year. Both students in each class will work together to welcome the newly joining students.

Student Ambassador Role Be friendly – introduce yourself Provide a tour and/or point out important locations Eat lunch with new students and introduce them to your friends Introduce new students to Sherwood ES staff members Answer questions they have about the school Model and reinforce positive behavior that meets Sherwood ES’s expectations

New Student Booklet Help new students by reviewing their new student booklet with important staff members around the building as needed.
