New Structures in Health Clinical Commissioning Groups – GP-led, responsible for 80% of NHS spend ‘Top tier’ local authority responsibility for public health, supported by Public Health England National Commissioning Board – Local Area Teams responsible for commissioning primary care services, screening, specialist services, offender health

What are the big challenges for the Health Service? Support to people who have long term conditions Aging population Increasing diversity Moving focus from hospital to community Increasing specialisation where appropriate Improvements in experience Value for money Sustainability Agenda Impact of Climate Change on health e.g. water, changing nature of communicable disease Transport and car parking!
