What is the English Baccalaureate? It is essentially a message from Government on the desirability of as many students as possible studying the following subjects up to GCSE : - Mathematics - English - Science (at least 2 GCSEs) - Foreign Language - History or Geography

Your choices You can pick 3 other courses There are 15 to choose from....so lots of choice! We will try to make it possible for you to do your ‘first choices’....BUT we cannot guarantee it for everyone. So, you will be asked to pick some reserves (just in case)

How do I decide what courses I should choose? Some questions to consider… Do I perform well in exams? Do I like to be ‘doing’ practical things? Do I like to be creative? Do I like discussing and debating ideas? Do I like to know about what’s going on in the world? Do I like project-style work? Do I like work which is relevant to real jobs? Do I like courses where I’ll work on ICT? Do I want to use foreign languages in the future?
