Purpose of the PDTs Collaborative Planning Coordination of Professional Development Opportunities Enhance Teacher Quality Improve Student Achievement

Composition of the PDTs Reading Leader Assistant Principal/APC Secondary Schools Designated Union Building Steward Possible Instructional Personnel - Language Arts/Reading Leader/Coach - Mathematics Leader/Coach - Grade Level Chair (applicable to Elem.) - Department Chair for Core Subjects

Role & Responsibilities of the PDT Pair new teacher with “transition teacher” Agree to participate as a team member through school year Collaborate with staff to develop PDP that reflects student data and teacher needs Participate in Action Research Training & Conduct action research Announce training opportunities and registration procedures Develop and submit PDP

Incentives Up to $2250 stipend per team - $100 stipend for attending one-day Action Research training - $150 stipend upon completion of action research project Up to 30 Master Plan Points may be earned - 6 Master Plan Points for participating on PDT - 6 Master Plan Points for attending the in-service training - Up to 18 Master Plan Points for conducting the action research (log will be provided) and must be submitted for credit to be awarded
