Interior of Nhulunbuy Community Library, Old Location inside the High School, 1981 Nhulunbuy Community Library was opened on 2 nd March 1981 at a temporary location in the High School, while a purpose-built public/community library building was constructed by SITZLER Brothers Darwin.

Nhulunbuy Town Centre, facing North. The Mount Saunders Library existed in the Town Camp as early as November This Library holds a collection of books “with some first rate authors”, some exchanged books, and some books “provided by the Darwin Public Library which serves this area through its country borrowers section”. Later the “NTA Office Block and Library” located within the town centre, was mentioned with the anticipated completion of all works by June Nhulunbuy Town Centre

Arnhem Courier Vol. 2 No.84, 14 th March 1986 On Monday 10 th March 1986 Nhulunbuy Community Library opened at its current location.
