Some of the greatest inventions and discoveries

Alexander Graham Bell is commonly credited as the inventor of the first practical telephone.

The first successful bi-directional transmission of clear speech by Bell and Watson was made on March 10, 1876 when Bell spoke into the device, “Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you.” and Watson answered.

Canada Ontario The first long distance telephone call was made on 10 August 1876 by Bell from the family homestead in Brantford, Ontario, to his assistant located in Paris, Ontario, about 10 miles (16 km) apart. Grand River Paris Brantford

The discovery of DNA Scientists have known that DNA exists since 1869 when Johann Friedrich Miescher noticed something he had not seen before in the nuclei of cells.

In 1953 James Watson and Francis Crickin discovered that DNA was made up of sugar and phosphates in the form of chain.

The whole structure was bound together by 4 compounds called guanine, adenine, thymine and cytosine.

Each of pairs of nucleotides formed a single rung on the so-called DNA ladder.

The incandescent light bulb The incandescent light bulb makes light by heating a metal filament wire to a high temperature until it glows.

In addressing the question of who invented the incandescent lamp, historians list 22 inventors of incandescent lamps prior to Thomas Edison.

In conclusion, we can say that Edison’s version was able to outstrip the others because of a combination of three factors: an effective incandescent material, a higher vacuum than others were able to achieve a high resistance that made power distribution from centralized source economically viable.
