Information for Families in Hampshire The Local Offer

Future plans: Short breaks activities budget Government money given to councils reducing drastically overall – now have 60% of the budget that we had available in 2010 Hampshire County Council - needs £97million of savings across all services, most of which are statutory and have to be provided Children with Disabilities – needs £2.5-£3.5m of savings from our budget of £19.4 million

Future plans: Short breaks activities budget Hampshire are proud of our Short Breaks programme, where we have all worked as partners to improve the opportunities available to disabled children, and the chance for families to take a break Previous savings programmes have bypassed our programme but we cannot guarantee that this time

Full public consultation will happen for everybody (including children and their families, activity providers, anyone who wants to have a say) Future plans: Timescales Timescales are being finalised now
