A Works Cited Sheet : gives authors and artists credit for work tells others where they can find out more about the topic allows teacher to verify work

When should you begin your Works Cited Sheet ? as you begin your research

Recording this information should be the first thing you do before starting to read the information or take notes on it.

Websites Title of main site Copyright date or last date updated, if available Date you viewed the site

Magazines Author Article title Magazine title Date of publication Page numbers of the article

Encyclopedia Articles Article title Title of the reference book Edition Date published

Photographs Copy and paste the URL address underneath the photos that you include in your project. The websites do not have to be listed on the Works Cited Sheet for photographs only.

Important! 1. Arrange the books and websites in alphabetical order, using the last name of the author. If there is no author, use the title of the book or website.

2.All sources should be mixed together on the same list. Do NOT make two separate lists.

3. Double-space all lines. 4. Indent the second and following lines 5 spaces for each entry.
