OUTLINE Purpose (why I choose this) Motivation What I have learned Problems What supplies are needed Results Conclusion Questions

MOTIVATION Allow me to have incriminating evidence if something was to happen when I wasn’t home Brings up the resale value of my home

INTRODUCTION The reason why I choose to do home security is because I want evidence if anything was to happen while I was away. Also I have a best friend that wants to have a cameras setup for his newborn. Once people heard that I was doing this, I have had requests to do them to there homes. Also this will be a learning experience, something that I have never done before.

PROBLEM STATEMENT At the start I had problems with the software and the driver. The bulk of my time was spent in the attic of my house. It sucked! Next problem was I left an opening in the soffit to allow me to run the wires to the cameras but a Bird got into my attic. It took me so long to get that dang thing out

PROPOSED SOLUTION Being able to get all of the parts: Dvr and software Installing driver and learning the software Assembly (took forever running the wires down the walls from the attic, and mounting the cameras) Getting long enough audio wires. Allowing me to access the program away from home.

RESULTS I got everything to work GREAT! Only problem that I am having is in camera #2, it seems to be picking up to much motion. Setup a way to auto delete imagery so it doesn’t take to much space on my PC

CONCLUSIONS One of the main reason I choose to do this is because of my friends baby and now he wants me to do this for his home. Now I have set this up I have a lot of friends and family wanting it done so this will start bringing me money if I want I really want to work on the motion sensor because it is talking a lot of extra footage that is irrelevant. (like bugs, moving tarp, etc) As fair as learning experience, this allowed me to learn how to install dvr, cameras, run wiring, and learn about my attic (wear a mask and beware of birds)

FUTURE WORK There is a few more things that I want to do with the cameras. One, is setting up video into all of the cable jacks. Setting mic’s with the cameras will allow me to get audio along with the video. Any Questions? Thanks for listening
