In this world where there are so many things calling out to the minds of men and women, to attract their attention, and hold their interest for as long as possible, to keep both men and women engaged, and occupied from receiving The Treasures of GOD’S Word; many are looking for some form of interest that would take their minds off their troubles. But they do not look to The Light of Truth, Who shines through men, to lead them back to Him, Whom GOD has sent. As this world grows darker when The Light of Truth is not able to shine, men and women look to the new year with the hope of a better year than the years that have past on before. But how can things change for the better when men and women have for years turn from The Light of Truth, to walk in darkness to GOD'S Word. The Dark Ages was not a darken age because the sun and the moon was not shining. If The Light of Truth was not allowed to shine into the hearts of men and women, then the result can only lead to a worse condition than the years in the past. The darken condition that this world is in has not caught GOD and HIS Son by surprise. For He knew before creation that these things would come to past. Yet, HE, WHO made perfect both heaven and earth by HIS Word, HE has revealed that…

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light” (Genesis 1:1-3).

Notice that there was a time in the beginning, when GOD by HIS Word created the heaven and the earth. But this opening statement simply reveals that GOD is The CREATOR, WHO made them both in their beginnings respectively. HE did not find the heaven and the earth, and then used them for HIS purpose. No, for through His servant, The Word of The LORD has revealed that…

“In true science there can be nothing contrary to the teaching of the word of God, for both have the same Author. A correct understanding of both will always prove them to be in harmony. Truth, whether in nature or in revelation, is harmonious with itself in all its manifestations. But the mind not enlightened by God's Spirit will ever be in darkness in regard to His power. This is why human ideas in regard to science so often contradict the teaching of God's word. “The theory that God did not create matter when He brought the world into existence is without foundation. In the formation of our world, God was not indebted to pre-existing matter. On the contrary, all things, material or spiritual,

“stood up before the LORD Jehovah at His voice and were created for His own purpose. The heavens and all the host of them, the earth and all things therein, are not only the work of His hand; they came into existence by the breath of His mouth." (Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 8, Page 258, par.2, 3)

After The Word revealed the statement that GOD in the beginning created heaven and earth, He revealed that the earth was without form and void, which means that there was no pre-existing unrecognizable form, or shape from which HE could use to make the earth. The statement that the earth was without form and void is made, to place our focus on the condition of heaven at the time before the earth was even formed. For The Word of GOD revealed that darkness was upon the face of the deep. For someone, who was not familiar with The Scriptures, and have read for the first time the first three verses of Genesis chapter one, he, or she may not be aware of anything wrong with the picture that is revealed in the words presented. Yet, for someone, who may have studied The Scriptures, there should be a question raised in the mind, as to why there was darkness upon the face of the deep. But to answer this question, which deals with a condition that existed before the earth and man was even formed, a person would need a way to receive and understand the answer given.

Like the scene of a crime, which must be studied carefully, to determined the truth of what has occurred, to cause darkness to be upon the face of the deep; the facts must be presented, with the evidence to determine the truth by those, who would study the evidence, to understand the truth of what has occurred. But many open The Scriptures and begin reading the evidence presented, but they are not alarmed, because they are not aware of a problem, or even that there was, or is a problem. To a person looking upon this scene, it simply appears to be the way things are. But GOD’S Word has preserved and have revealed the evidence of Truth to those, who can discern The Truth, to determine and seal their faith, to stand with GOD, by believing The Truth HE has revealed by our study of HIS Word. But many are still walking in spiritual darkness to The Truth GOD has revealed by HIS Word. It is to change this condition of darkness upon the face of the deep that The Word of GOD revealed and said that, “…the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

The Scriptures revealed that The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. This statement reveals the same work of GOD, WHO works to accomplish the revealing of The Truth of HIS Word upon the hearts of men. Although about six thousand years of darkness has past since the creation of this earth, GOD works by The Spirit of HIS Son, in revealing The Light of Truth through those, who walk in The Light, to shine to those, who are in darkness to The Truth of HIS Word. For HE said by HIS Word, “Let there be light: and there was light.” The Spirit of GOD was not hovering over the waters, as some versions of The Scriptures have indicated. No. For The Spirit of GOD works The Will of GOD through the hearts of those, who receive and believe in HIS Word. For Peter, who received The Word of GOD, he testified by The Spirit of GOD working through him, to reveal The Light of The Truth of GOD to men. For it is written…

“When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some [say that thou art] John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven…” (Matthew 16:13-19).

Because the wisdom of men were in darkness to the Identity of The Son of Man, Who was among them, they could not reveal The Light of Truth on His Identity. And choosing not to base his faith on the wisdom of men, who could not agree on the Identity of The Son of Man, Peter was open to the work of The Spirit of God, to reveal The Truth of The Son of GOD to his heart. For it is said…

“Peter had expressed the truth which is the foundation of the church's faith, and Jesus now honored him as the representative of the whole body of believers. He said, "I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." ““The keys of the kingdom of heaven” are the words of Christ. All the words of Holy Scripture are His, and are here included. These words have power to open and to shut heaven. They declare the conditions upon which men are received or rejected. Thus the work of those who preach God's word is a savor of life unto life or of death unto death. Theirs is a mission weighted with eternal results.” (The Desire of Ages, Page 413, 414, par. 4, 1)

If The keys of the kingdom of heaven are The Words of Christ, and all The Words of Holy Scripture are designed to open to our understanding The Light of Truth to our hearts; then what happens when The Words are changed from one version of The scriptures to another by a translator, who did not understand, or received The Key of understanding to his heart; he could be used to shut The Light of heaven from being revealed to the hearts of men and women. In a nutshell this is what has happened to Adam and Eve, who chose to accept the serpent’s version of GOD’S Word. When the words stray off from The Way of Truth of What GOD, has revealed by HIS Word, The Light of Truth is not revealed to the hearts of men. Having received The Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven to open to his understanding The Truth of GOD’S Word, Peter testified and wrote…

“…we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:” (2 Peter 1:16-19).

“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost” (2 Peter 1:20, 21).

Notice that Peter makes a distinction between following cunningly devised fables, and making known to men The Power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He testified that they were eyewitnesses of His Majesty. The Lord Jesus Christ received from God The Father honor and glory, when there came such a Voice to Him from The Excellent Glory, This is My beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased. This Voice, Which came from heaven they heard, when they were with Him in the holy mount. Peter revealed that we have also a more Sure Word of Prophecy, whereunto we do well that we take heed, as unto a Light that shines in a dark place, until The Day Dawn, and The Day Star arise in our hearts: knowing this first, that no prophecy of The Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man, but as The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters, so also holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost, Who moved upon their hearts. As The Day Star arise in his heart, Paul said...

“I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise. So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them” (Romans 1:14-19).

“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened” (Romans 1:20, 21).

Notice what Paul is saying by these words through him. of HIM from are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made. even HIS Eternal Power Godhead and Is it important to understand What GOD has revealed to man by HIS Word? Is the revealing of GOD’S Truth a salvational issue? Paul made it clear that the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold The Truth in unrighteousness; because That Which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shown It unto them.

Because The Power of The Spirit of GOD was in Paul, like the prophets of old, and not hovering above him; he was moved by The Spirit of Christ, to share What was revealed unto him, and through him, to all, who were wise like the Greeks, and unwise like the Barbarians. By The Spirit, Paul was ready to preach What was in him, of the gospel of Christ, to those at Rome also. Paul was not ashamed of The Gospel of Christ, because The Gospel of Christ is The Righteousness of GOD, which is revealed, not from the cunningly devised fables of man’s wisdom, but from The Faith, which is of God. What Paul received of the gospel of Christ, he was indebted to share, to the wise and the unwise, because it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Why should the just live by faith? Because the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold The Truth in unrighteousness; because That, Which may be known of God is manifest in man; for God has shown The Truth unto man.

Notice that although darkness was upon the face of the deep, The Spirit of GOD has revealed The Light of Truth, through the creation of this earth and by man, who was made in the image of God, to reveal The Things, Which may be known of God. The darkness that was upon the face of the deep is the same darkness, which has spread to this earth. Yet, the invisible things of GOD from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even GOD'S Eternal Power and Godhead; so that none should be in darkness to The Light of Truth revealed by GOD’S Word. In order for the “just” to live by faith, all, who would be just, to live by faith, they are to understand what faith is, to receive and live by faith. For through the writings of Paul, he has testified and revealed that…

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear” (Hebrews 11:1-3).

According to the definition given of faith, it is… of

It is difficult to reveal The Invisible Things of GOD to a person, who has not the gift of faith. For faith is not the act of simply believing in faith. No, faith is the principle means by which The Invisible Things of GOD are revealed, by the things HE has made, to reveal clearly The Things unseen. The Invisible Things are understood by the things that are made. In other words, the substance and evidence of things that are made to be seen, they--the things that are made, they are the means by which the things, which cannot be seen are revealed. For… of GOD are revealed by to be understood

From the creation of the world, That Which may be known of God of HIS Righteousness, even HIS Eternal Power and Godhead has been clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made. For darkness was upon the face of the deep, and The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light”, and there was light. For in speaking of GOD, WHO does exist, Paul said that… “…without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).

“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin” (1 John 1:5-7). In his testimony of GOD’S Word, Who came unto him, John testified of the message that was revealed onto them, and John said…

Since The Word of GOD has revealed the message to John that GOD is LIGHT, and HIM is no darkness at all, then according to Genesis 1:1-3, which revealed that there was darkness upon the face of the deep; then there are questions that one must consider to comprehend what has occurred in the beginning before the earth was form. Because the evening does not start at midnight. And as this earth is growing darker because The Light of Truth is not open to their hearts, those, who walk in darkness will not be in fellowship with those, who walk in The Light of GOD’S Glory. The first question then is this: If GOD is LIGHT, and in HIM is no darkness at all, then which existed first: GOD? or darkness upon the face of the deep? And since GOD is Everlasting, and all things were created by HIM through The Power of HIS Word, Who is also Light, then why was there darkness existing upon the face of the deep, before the earth was even formed? Why did GOD say “Let there be light if there was already Light?

As we have seen from the study of GOD’S Word, The Invisible Things of HIM, from the creation of the world, are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even HIS Eternal Power and Godhead, that man is without excuse for not knowing What GOD has revealed, as a Light That shines in a dark place, until The Day Dawn, and The Day Star arise in our hearts. It is to address the cause of this darkness, which has been growing in the hearts of men that this study is being presented. End of Part 1
