Introduction Hello, in the following Power Point I will be telling you about the ways humans impacted their environment. It will explain about the people in Mesopotamia, Egypt, Rome, and Greece. I will also be talking about after the glacier age, early man, and early farmers. I hope that you enjoy my talent 21 PowerPoint.

After Glacier Age  After the glacier age the ground got too wet and the soil wasn’t fertile enough to plant near the area.

Early Man  Early man impacted their environment by building dikes and dams.  They cut down trees to build houses and temples  Population grew witch meant pollution.

Early Farmers  In order to farm the land had to be cleared, killing trees and brush.  They hunted, killing animals possibly to extinction.  Slash and burn farming polluted the air.

Mesopotamia  They melted copper and tin to make bronze.  With bronze they made bronze tipped plow.  They also made a funnel to put the seeds

Egypt  Ancient Egypt can be thought of as an oasis in the desert of northeastern Africa, dependent on the annual inundation of the Nile River to support its agricultural population.

Greece  The soil is not very good for growing things, there are a lot of mountains that make it hard to walk from one place to another.  On the other hand, what Greece does have is a lot of coastline. Which is a beach.

Rome  The city of Rome itself has tremendous environmental advantages, which made it easier for Rome to become an important city.  Also, the boats in the river going up and down the Tiber, from the east to the west and back again, could stop at Rome.
