Presentation transcript:

The ANZAC people went overseas and had a fight in Gallipoli. They ate hard tack, rice, dry beef and tea and the mum’s in NZ made ANZAC biscuits and sent them over. And the poppies grow in Flanders Fields.

They made holes called trenches 1.5m high and 1m wide. They couldn’t stick there heads up or they got shot. They had to sit in there for 6 months in that little hole.

New Zealand went to war cause England went. Hard tack and ANZAC biscuits last for 6 months. New Zealand and Australia lost the war in Gallipoli in 1914.

1000’s of people got killed by the Turkish people. Some people got shot on the boats on there way. They came back from war in 1918 “that’s a really long time”.

ANZAC New Zealand and Australia lost the war in 1914.
