Fellowship in the Life of Christ Paul’s Letter to the Philippians

Work Out! Shine! Rejoice in Christ! Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

Work Out! Shine! Rejoice in Christ! Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life,...

Work Out! Shine! Rejoice in Christ!... so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain. Even if I am to be poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrificial offering of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all. Likewise you also should be glad and rejoice with me. (Philippians 2:12-18 ESV)

Sometimes a Light Surprises Sometimes a light surprises a Christian while he sings It is the Lord who rises with healing in His wings When comforts are declining He grants the soul again, A season of clear shining to cheer it after rain

Sometimes a Light Surprises In holy contemplation We sweetly then pursue The theme of God’s salvation and find it ever new. Set free from present sorrow We cheerfully can say Let the unknown tomorrow Bring with it what it may

Sometimes a Light Surprises Tomorrow can bring us nothing but He will bear us through Who gives the lilies clothing will clothe His people too Beneath the spreading heavens no creature but is fed And He who feeds the ravens Will give His children bread!

Sometimes a Light Surprises Though vine nor fig tree neither their wonted fruit should bear Though all the fields should wither nor flocks or herds be there, Yet God the same abiding His praise shall tune our voice For while in Him confiding We cannot but Rejoice!
