A Confident Christian life Living to Stand Confidently Before Him 1 John 2:28-3:3

Encouraged to live for Him in light of: –Purity of God (He is Light) –Fellowship with God –Fellowship with each other Encouraged to live for Him in light of: –The return of Jesus Christ

Abiding in Him Agape Love Accepting the worlds rejection Adoring His Appearance Acceptable & not Ashamed

Standing confidently before him Abiding in Him –John 15:1-10 – John revisits this Mutual Indwelling Doctrinal & Relational Vine Imagery – Life giving, Life sustaining

Agape Love –John 15:10 – not in fear but love –See: with amazement and ponder –Given: over the top –Called: Proclamation made –We are: It’s a reality

Accepting the worlds rejection –The world refuses to recognize our status –They refused to recognize Jesus’ status

Adoring His appearance – Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:8

Looking for his appearance –Love him & his appearing Changed by his appearance –My changed is directly tied to his appearing. Cleansed until his appearance

Acceptable & Unashamed –Life of practicing righteousness –Life of constant preparedness –Life of full assurance

Confident Christians keep themselves pure, maintaining a righteous lifestyle while looking forward to the appearance of Jesus Christ.

How am I living in a way that I would be ashamed or embarrassed before Christ right now? How can I display love for his appearing? What are some changes that need to be made for me to abide in him so that I am not ashamed?
