What is Anime and Manga Anime- The major difference between anime and American cartoons is that unlike American cartoons which are mostly watched by children, anime is popular among the Japanese adults and teens and are watched by millions. Manga- Manga is the Japanese word for comic, but is more commonly deemed the name of the genre for all comics or graphic novels published in Japan. While manga is typically read by teens in the UK, there are publications aimed at both children and adults. It is commonly considered as literature rather than a comic due to the advancement into graphic novels.

What are their Clothing choices They wear bright colors Kimonos Cosplay outfits School uniforms (for students) Crazy prints

What are otakus Otakus are people who are obsessed with a hobby to the extent that it becomes a major part of their identity. Much like the English word “nerd”, “otaku” usually implies socially awkward. A person can be otaku about partially any hobby or interest. The most common types of otakus in Japan are: anime/manga otakus, cosplay otaku’s, game otakus, figurine otakus, robot otakus, and voice actress otakus.
