The NT: The Church’s Only Foundation Jesus (the chief cornerstone) built His Church: on the “rock” = Peter’s inspired message about the Lord (Matthew 16:15-19) on the “foundation” = messages of apostles & prophets (Ephesians 2:19-22; 3:1-4) on the “NT” = the messages of 4 apostles & 4 prophets (Rom. 15:20; 1 Cor. 3:10-11) “Rock” = “Foundation” = “New Testament” The Lord’s Church
