Curriculum Night

 7th year teaching at SHS  2 nd year teaching Chemistry  Also teaching Physical Science and taught Physics for five years  Have a B.S. in Chemistry, M.Ed. in Secondary education, and M.Ed. in School Counseling

 Prepare students for their post-secondary goals  Have students learn how to use different forms of technology  Videos, Excel, and PowerPoint  Have students work with others to increase problem solving skills  Learn proper lab techniques in a Chemistry environment

 Syllabus on-line – class expectations and procedures  Using packets instead of textbooks (copy in files)

 3 ring binder  Scientific Calculator  Pens, Pencils, Paper  USB drive

 80% - Individual Assessments  20% - Assessments with Resources

 Keep my calendar updated  Notes and answers to study guides in files  Set aside papers and information for students in folders when they are absent  Check grade book  M – can make up assignment  0 – did not earn credit for an assignment  Can still make up assignments for ½ credit if not turned in on time
