4 th Grade Math with Mrs. Moore Open House Information

GOALS  To provide the academic and social skills students need to progress to fifth grade and middle school. We want the students to use deeper thinking and understand what they are doing and why they are doing these things.  To provide a supportive, interactive, and fun learning environment.  To build confidence in the students.  “I can’t” and “I don’t know” are not final answers  If students are unsure, we Will work together to find a solution

School-Wide Community PBIS  At Westview Elementary, we have embraced a program called Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). PBIS is a program in which we strive to create a positive school environment by establishing and teaching expected student behaviors.  We follow the WVE matrix which is located in each classroom in the school. PBIS in Our Classroom - Splash Cash – class drawings and whole class - Dojo (still a work in progress) for small prizes - Respect and be Respected
