Higher Level NTS Structure Area Level Staff is made up of Regional Net Managers, TCC Directors, At-large Staff Area Level NTS is managed by an elected PAS Chair Region Level NTS is managed by an elected Region Net Manager ARRL HQ oversees the three Area Chairs

Net Control Station Responsibilities Calls the Net on the appointed day and time Preamble Roll Call Records the checkins Assigns traffic Conducts miscellaneous business as needed Closes the Net

Net Control Station Authorities Maintains absolute control of the net Makes all decisions (referee) Makes Net Report to NM Reports problems, makes suggestions to NM Contacts NM prior to net if unable to fulfill NCS duties Conducts emergency operations under direction of the NM*

Emergency Operations ARES: Trains for emergency operations on a monthly or yearly schedule RACES: Trains for emergency operations on a monthly or yearly schedule NTS: Performs traffic handling on a daily basis; the only differences between daily operations and emergency operations is the precedence of the traffic and the calling of extra sessions when necessary
