Goals Engage the public and amateur astronomer communities in an event to raise awareness of lunar research and exploration. Expand on NASA’s US efforts during IYA 2009 when both LRO and LCROSS reached the Moon. Astronomers Without Borders will use its international astronomy network to bring other countries to the celebration. 2
