Local Participant Fees [IC E]not to exceed $300 per month. Set by ADJ but presiding judge may exempt from portion or all payment. County Commissioners Community Partnership & 501 (c) (3) Nonprofit organizations under IRS tax code 501(c)(3) to seek funding and to promote public awareness of drug courts. Benefits: -Members of the public and corporations may be more aware of and more willing to donate to nonprofit corporations. -Certain legal and tax preferences. -May be eligible to receive some gifts that the courts themselves might not. -Permits judges and attorneys to distance themselves from fundraising activities and thereby reduces the risk of a real or perceived conflict of interest.
