WHY ARE SEEDS IMPORTANT?

Why are seeds important?  A seed is a part of a plant from which a new plant can grow. Without seeds, there would not be any plants left. Without plants, we could not have enough oxygen.

Why are seeds important to us?  Seeds harvested from crops are the main food source for human brings. Seeds have been an important development in the reproduction and spread of flowering plants, relative to more primitive plants such as mosses and ferns.

Why are seeds important to us?  Plants require seeds to reproduce so that they do not die off and become extinct. Man require seed for food production. Either seeds of edible plants are collected(vegetable and fruit), or the seeds itself is used for food (wheat, rice etc.)

Some tips on protecting wild flowers There were once many types of flower that you have never seen before. You cannot find some of them because they are extinct. And to prevent extinction you can help by not stepping on the plant, also try not to pick is up as you could accidentally break some of the parts of the plant and it would die. If you see a rare type of plant call your nearest local nature center for help.

Quiz Time!
