St Andrew’s Death He was crucified in Greece on an X shaped cross He was crucified upside down He didn’t think he was worthy of being killed on a cross the same as Jesus This is why the Scotland flag has a diagonal cross on it Some of St Andrew’s remains are in a chapel in the town of St Andrews
Patron Saint of Scotland After his death a monk looked over his bones An angel came and told him to take them far west They shipwrecked in Scotland at St Andrews He has been the patron saint of Scotland for just over 1000 years
