Judges decided which team best presents their information and best responses to the information from the other team Audience before debate is asked to vote on an issue, then after the debate the audience votes again. If more audience members change to your side, your team wins

The class will be broken into 4 teams; Two teams will debate each other and the other two teams will be judges, then switch Team 1: More food production will end world hunger Team 2: More food production will not end world hunger Team 3: Changing the DNA of food will end world hunger Team 4: Changing the DNA of food will not end world hunger
1) You need real facts! The more information your team has, the more they can give a good reason for their side Economic, Ethical, Moral, Scientific, Religious, Political, etc… 2) You need to respond to what the other team says! Ignoring the other team means you don’t understand the issue, so why should we believe you??? 3) You need to have clear list of things to discuss plus a list of things you think the other team will say!
Round one will happen next Monday Round two will happen the class after mid- terms All Teams will be prepared to present Monday because you will not know which debate will occur that day The winning team of each debate will get 10 bonus points to their GPA
