Or…Man who eat cookie in bed wake up feeling crumby..

 Born of a poor but ARISTOCRATIC family in the state of Lu  He was ORPHANED at an early age.  As a young man, he held several minor government posts; ▪ In later years, he advanced to become minister of justice in his home state.  But he held these positions only for short periods because of CONFLICTS with his SUPERIORS Confucius says, “Man who eats many prunes get good run for money.”

 Throughout his life, he was best known as a TEACHER.  Traveled to various kingdoms, preaching to the princes  Tried to improve GOVERNMENT and SOCIETY by convincing rulers to implement and follow his ideas  By the time of his death at the age of 72 he had a total of 3,000 DISCIPLES who carried on his teaching. Confucius says, “Best time to go to the dentist is tooth- hurty.”

 Long after his death, he becomes the dominant Chinese PHILOSOPHER, both morally and POLITICALLY.  Confucius's teachings were adopted by the HAN Dynasty as the official moral and political doctrine of the State.   **Ideas were key to an ORDERLY, stable and well- functioning SOCIETY. Confucius says, “Man who run in front of car get tired.”
