Brand X: Consumer Science What should be on your poster?

What Brand of Ice cream is the Best? Hypothesis: Tillamook Ice Cream will be the favorite because that is the brand my family buys Variables: Manipulated: Brand of Ice Cream Response: Participants’ Favorites (1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd ) Background: Include why you chose your project, jingles, advertisements, and slogans, and any other important information Consumer's Favorite Ice Cream Brands Participant's score (5 points: 1st choice, 3 points: 2nd choice, 1 point: 3rd choice) BrandJamesSarahChrisJuanAmy Total Score Tillamook Darigold Dreyers Materials: -List Procedures: -How did you collect your data? Data Analysis: This is where you state the numbers In your data. Example: Tillamook had a total score of 19, Darigold had a total of 17 points and Dreyers came in last with a total of 9 points Conclusion: The data supported my hypothesis that Tillamook would be the favorite ice cream. Include sources of error and future research ideas.

Variables  Manipulated: The 3 brands you have chosen  Response variable: What are you measuring? -Example: 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd favorite? Assign each a point value Variables: Manipulated: Brand of Ice Cream Response: Participants’ Favorites (1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd )

Materials List and Procedures  Include any and all supplies used  How did you collect your data?  Repeat at least 3 times -In taste tests, making sure to ask multiple people will serve the purpose of repeating 3 times

Conclusion  Restate your question and hypothesis  Did your data support or not support your hypothesis?  Sources of error? (human error)  Further questions or research
