The Process of Formative Assessment Slide 1 (Heritage, 2010) Handout 1.4.1

Formative Assessment in Action Watch the video of teachers and students engaged in the formative assessment process on the next slide. Use Handout (The Process of Formative Assessment) as you watch the video. Identify when you see a certain component of the FA process in use. Write a brief description next to the identified component of the process. With a partner, use Handout to record information about the formative assessment process as observed in the video. Five videos are included in this lesson. You can choose to watch as many videos as you would like. We recommend that you watch at least two. Pause after each video to record your observations.
