Density

Density – How much mass is in a given volume

In my own words How tightly packed the particles are

Density = Mass Volume Units – Kg/L, g/ml or g/cm 3

Ex: Gold density is 19.3 g/cm so 1 cubic cm will have a mass of 19.3 g 3

Aluminum is 2.7 g/cm 3 How much mass will 2 cm 3 have

4 Basic Principles of Density Can you guess them

Principle 1: If you pack more mass into the same volume, it's more dense.

Principle 2: If you pack the same mass into a smaller volume, it's more dense.

Principle 3: Just because something has more mass doesn't mean it's more dense.

Principle 4: If it is the same material, then it will be the same density, no matter the size.

Density Of liquids

Density Explanations w/ apt clock

Why does a helium balloon rise up?

Why do you float better in the ocean than in a pool?

Density Explanations Why do you can float on your back when you inhale, but sink once you exhale?
