What will your answer be?

Life as a Christian means teaching & learning We are always learning more about God. We are always learning more about God. Whether we are being taught or teaching. Whether we are being taught or teaching. Romans 2:21 You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal? Dispel hypocrisy from your life. Dispel hypocrisy from your life. Even Jesus learned as He taught. Even Jesus learned as He taught.

Jesus Learned Hebrews 5:8 Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. We need to learn through our lives how to be obedient to God. We need to learn through our lives how to be obedient to God. If we don’t learn how can we teach? If we don’t learn how can we teach? If we don’t teach how will people be converted to Christ? If we don’t teach how will people be converted to Christ? How will we fulfill our Christian duty? How will we fulfill our Christian duty?

Let us learn from God how we ought to answer I would like to bring a few things that I have learned from my experiences at the brig. I would like to bring a few things that I have learned from my experiences at the brig. It is important to learn and take courage from our experiences as we live as Christians. It is important to learn and take courage from our experiences as we live as Christians. If we don’t we will surely not grow up into our knowledge of Christ and obtain eternal life. If we don’t we will surely not grow up into our knowledge of Christ and obtain eternal life.

What will your answer be? 1. To others that ask about the gospel or why you are a Christian. I Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 2. To those that might lead you astray. Matthew 24:24 For false christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders, so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

What will your answer be? 3. To our Lord that will judge us. I Peter 4:17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?

1. To others that ask about the gospel or why you are a Christian. If we live as Christians people will recognize it and ask us about it. If we live as Christians people will recognize it and ask us about it. What will we answer with? Opinion, feelings, life experiences, history lesson, or God’s infallible word? What will we answer with? Opinion, feelings, life experiences, history lesson, or God’s infallible word? How can we answer if we don’t know? How can we answer if we don’t know? Colossians 4:6

1. To others that ask about the gospel or why you are a Christian. Do we have knowledge? Do we have knowledge? Romans 10:1-3 Can we understand passages like this? Can we understand passages like this? Do we recall them? Do we recall them? Hebrews 3:6 Do we know enough to be confident? Do we know enough to be confident? Hebrews 4:14-16

2. To those that might lead you astray. If we aren’t vigilant and learning, it is possible to be led astray. If we aren’t vigilant and learning, it is possible to be led astray. I John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

2. To those that might lead you astray. How do we know them? How do we know them? 2 John 9-10 Galatians 1:8-9 Matthew 15:18 What is our defense? I Peter 3:13-18 Matthew 4: John 4-11

2. To those that might lead you astray. False doctrine will come. False doctrine will come. I Timothy 4:1-5 I Charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires,

2 Timothy 4:1-5 Because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. Can happen to anybody. Even in our congregation. We need to recognize this, lest we also fall away. Can happen to anybody. Even in our congregation. We need to recognize this, lest we also fall away.

2. To those that might lead you astray. Do we know enough about scriptures to answer this false doctrine with truth? Do we know enough about scriptures to answer this false doctrine with truth? Romans 10:9-10 Is this the whole doctrine and message of salvation? Is this the whole doctrine and message of salvation? Acts 2:21-38 Are feelings just as good as doctrine? Are feelings just as good as doctrine?

2. To those that might lead you astray. Some people rest their hopes on their zeal, good intentions, own resources, and passion. Some people rest their hopes on their zeal, good intentions, own resources, and passion. Would we be here as children of God if Jesus did what felt good to Him? Would we be here as children of God if Jesus did what felt good to Him? Matthew 26:37-44 Where would feelings get us in relation to obeying God? Where would feelings get us in relation to obeying God?

3. To our Lord that will judge us. Hebrews 12:18-26 Matthew 7:21-23 Matthew 12:35-36 John 12:48

3. To our Lord that will judge us. Are we striving then to learn and seek to be judged by the Lord as servants of His? Are we striving then to learn and seek to be judged by the Lord as servants of His? Can we say as Paul did: Can we say as Paul did: 2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

Are you a child of God? Judgment is coming. Judgment is coming. I John 5:1-3 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.
