Living Things / Living things are made of cells. Living things obtain and use energy. Living things grow and develop. Living things reproduce. Living things respond to their environment. Living things adapt to their environment / If something does not have any one of these it is not living. / Living things are made of cells. Living things obtain and use energy. Living things grow and develop. Living things reproduce. Living things respond to their environment. Living things adapt to their environment / If something does not have any one of these it is not living.

Living Things / Living organism are things that have not yet died. Dead organism were once alive and are no longer living. Non-living things are things which never were alive. You are a living organism

Living Things / A plant is an example of a living thing. Some organisms, called protests, are only made up of one cell. Plants are unique among the eukaryotes, organisms whose cells have membrane-enclosed nuclei and organelles, because they can manufacture their own food. Chlorophyll, which gives plants their green color, enables them to use sunlight to convert water and carbon dioxide into sugars and carbohydrates, chemicals the cell uses for fuel.

Non-living Things / A computer is a example of a non living thing. / Non living things have no cells. / Other things that have no cells are / High lighters / Sand / And / Clorox / But one thing that almost has no cells is the amoeba. A amoeba has one cell. / A computer is a example of a non living thing. / Non living things have no cells. / Other things that have no cells are / High lighters / Sand / And / Clorox / But one thing that almost has no cells is the amoeba. Non-living Things  Non – Living / A rock is a nonliving thing. / Non-living things can not move at all the can not reproduce anything. / Paint, wires, drywall, electricity are non- living things.  Non – Living / A rock is a nonliving thing. / Non-living things can not move at all the can not reproduce anything. / Paint, wires, drywall, electricity are non- living things.

Non-living and Living things Questions 1. How many cells does an ameba have? 2.Name the six characteristics of living things 3.Name three living and non-living things
