 No traces directly under the transceiver ◦ There are small exposed traces on the underside  Need a ground plane opposite the transceiver and antenna ◦ Should be as large as possible ◦ Acts as second pole for the antenna

 Should be centrally placed for best access to other components  Needs five pins sent out to a header for in circuit programming

 Power traces for all components should meet in as few places as possible  If there’s space, have ground planes under all chips to reduce noise  Any ground pin near a ground plane should be connected with a via
