A cardiac muscle is a heart. The cardiac muscle has different passages for blood to flow through. Your cardiac muscle is between your lungs, almost in the center of your chest. CARDIAC MUSCLE

Arteries carry blood away from your heart to tiny blood vessels called capillaries. The pulmonary artery carries deoxygenated blood. ARTERIES

White blood cells help fight infection and diseases. Blood contains fewer white blood cells than red blood cells but white cells are usually larger than red cells. WHITE BLOOD CELLS

Red blood cells carry oxygen. Iron is an important mineral which helps give the red blood cells their color. The reason your blood appears to be red is that every drop contains millions of red blood cells. RED BLOOD CELLS

Plasma is a yellow or straw-colored liquid that is mostly water. Plasma also helps fight infection and helps the blood to clot and form a scab over a wound. PLASMA
