STARTING LIFE  I was born Minnie Lee Jones in Schaal,Arkansas on August 13,1933.  Later I change my name to Joycelyn Elders. Now I’m 70 years old.

FUTURE  The accomplishments I’ve made a difference to our society by tiring to improve health and sex education.  Also being the first black resident,chief resident,and professor affects the future by encouraging women that they could better than men.

CONTRIBUTION  My contribution was speaking out in favor of health education and sex education.  This was all happing when I was working for Bill Clinton when he was Governor of Arkansas and President.

AWARD  In my whole career I have received a National Institutes of Health Career Development Award.
