Economics: Binder Component Please divide a three ring binder into the following sections: Course Orientation (Must include Pacing Disclaimer, Binder Instructions, Course Weightings, Major Units of Study, Calendars, and Assignment Sheets) Daily Reading Notes Classroom Lecture Notes Current Events Assignments and Directions Stock Market Projects and Directions Research Projects & Directions Misc. course work, primary source handouts, Etc. *This binder will be particularly helpful in assisting you to prepare/study for the comprehensive final Macroeconomics exam at the end of this semester. As such, it is vital that you maintain and update this binder throughout the course. An organized binder with applicable downloads in it is DUE on September 7, 2010 / February 1, 2011. To give you another incentive to keep it updated, I will be grading it at the end of each unit as well. (That’s 4 more times throughout the school year!!!) Don’t forget! 2010-2011

Please Note This Disclaimer! This is the predicted calendar of events for my Economics course in the 2010-2011 school year. As with all things in life, occasionally we may need to make adjustments for unanticipated events (such as pep rallies, inclement weather, and the like…) Please try to remain patient and flexible. I will most certainly make every attempt to stay on the course that I have plotted for us. However, it is at the my discretion as to how things will be rearranged on the calendar if an unanticipated event should occur. Rest assured, we will keep up with the assigned reading schedule regardless of any classroom disturbances or special events that we may encounter. It is my sincere hope that this calendar helps you to plan your best strategy for success in this course. Mrs. Alves
