Statement of the Problem Does the way seeds are planted affect their growth?

Project Overview The class will “plant” seeds in different directions and record their growth.

Materials Plastic cup 4 seeds Paper towel Masking tape water

Procedure Fold the paper towel in half length wise and then again. Line the inside of the cup with the paper towel Stuff wads of paper towel into the middle of the cup. Pour water on them. Put a dot at the top of each seed with a maker. Push each seed between the paper towel and cup with a pencil. Make sure the dots are facing in different directions.
