Gout What is it? ◦ Change in metabolism (usage and expulsion) of uric acid. Caused by too much of inappropriate proteins in reptile diets Signs ◦ Painful enlarged joints and kidneys due to build up of uric acid Treatment ◦ Dietary modification and maintenance Prevention ◦ Feed a balanced diet for your reptile.
