Poetic Style Continued  Couplets  a pair of lines of verse. It consists of two lines that usually rhyme and have the same meter.  Iambic Pentameter  has an unrhymed line with 5 iambs or feet. Iambic means the stress is on the second syllable.  “Shall I/ compare/ thee to/ a sum/mer’s day?”  Heroic Couplets  A pair of rhymed iambic pentameters lines that reach completion instructor and in sense at the end of the second line.
