Network-Attached Storage D ISK A TTACHMENT

Computers access disk storage in two ways: 1) Host attached via an I/O port 2) Network attached via a network connection D ISK A TTACHMENT

NAS connect to network via internet such as TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) D ISK A TTACHMENT

 NAS not provide just storage data but backing up and sharing files across your network.  NAS as a convenient and easy method of sharing files among multiple pc’s computers  NAS allows greater sharing of information especially between different operating systems such as Unix and Mac  Advantages : faster data access, easier control, and simple implementation D ISK A TTACHMENT

 NAS systems contain one or more hard disks, often arranged into logical, redundant storage containers or RAID arrays.RAID  NAS provides both storage and a file system.File System managed by NASfile system  NAS is easier to do than other storage access method like a Storage area network.Storage area network D ISK A TTACHMENT
