Basic VAC Rule 1.Baseline Period of Stability: ≥ 2 calendar days of stable or decreasing min PEEP or FiO 2 immediately preceding the first day of increased daily minimum PEEP or FiO 2. 2.Worsening oxygenation – Changes sustained for ≥ calendar days: 1.Increase in daily min PEEP of ≥ 3 cm H 2 O over PEEP baseline period 2.Increase in daily min FiO 2 of ≥ 0.20 (20%) over the daily minimum FiO 2. 3.Definition of VAE Window Period 5
