Centre for Genetic Resources, the Netherlands M&D conclusion Milestones and deliverables of WP5 are all met.

Centre for Genetic Resources, the Netherlands First annual Leafy Veg progress report Report submitted mid March to EU Technical reporting was relatively easy, financial reporting took considerable time from the partners’ administrations. Comments EU on report by mid April Few comments on technical report, more comments on financial report Reply to EU mid May Expected reimbursement: July-September

Centre for Genetic Resources, the Netherlands First annual LV progress report conclusions The financial reporting was for most (all) of us a time consuming business. As a coordinator I expect that this will be less in the coming years (hopefully we learned from it) The technical reporting was OK: relatively easy I am curious about auditing by the EU and especially the amount of detail they will insist upon, as I saw that it sometimes was difficult to trace sums of money presented in the excel files to specific accounts.

Centre for Genetic Resources, the Netherlands New LV contract needed Reasons: NGB changed its juridical name into NordGen USOFA (Mihaela Cerne) stopped and their work will be carried out by KIS (Vladimir Meglic), both organizations are established in Ljubjana (Slovenia). 10% budget ceiling is not met for ‘other costs’ item: 55% change, this is due to the fact that a lot of partners decreased this budget item and transferred the budget to personnel costs.

Centre for Genetic Resources, the Netherlands New LV contract needed EU has been informed by telephone and in the beginning of April and by mid May all the official papers were sent to the EU.

Centre for Genetic Resources, the Netherlands Leafy Veg dissemination An abstract has been sent to the general EUCARPIA symposium for a oral presentation. No reply yet from the organizing committee. Symposium will take place in September ’08. We need to write a text for our external LV website on the basis of the results achieved in the first year. This can be done using our first annual technical report -> CK will take action.
