ARTHROSCOPY Joint injuries can also be treated by arthroscopic surgery. Doctors make a small incision and insert a slim, tube-shaped instrument called an arthroscope into the joint. A camera attached to the arthroscope projects the image from inside the joint onto a monitor. Small tools are then used to repair the damage through the small incisions.
